understandING the sacrament
First Communion Preparation for the sacraments of Reconciliation and First Communion is offered through a two-year program.
Accommodations for students with special needs are available. Families must be registered with Holy Family Church to signup for Faith Formation classes.
The process
Students in grades 1 through 5
classes
Students will be prepared for these important Sacraments through two years of preparation classes.
Classes meet weekly on Tuesdays from 6:00 – 7:15 pm beginning September.
retreat
Students will attend a yearly retreat.
mass attendance
Weekly attendance at Mass to be able to meet Jesus in the Eucharist is required for students and their families.
STUDENTS IN GRADES 6 THROUGH 12
classes
Older students who have not yet received their First Communion will be prepared through our Youth First Communion (YFC) program to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation.
YFC classes will be held on Sunday afternoons from 10am-11:15am beginning in September.
retreat
