Volunteer Opportunities

Enrich your spiritual life by getting involved in the Church by volunteering your time and talents! Holy Family offers opportunities for any interest, comfort level, and time commitments.

Teaching Opportunities Become a catechist to teach our young people and adults interested in Catholicism, one of the most important discipleships. Join us in sharing your faith in Jesus Christ. Our teams of elementary, middle school, junior high, high school, adults, and first holy communion and confirmation candidates need teachers for next year. Bilingual catechists are especially needed. Contact Ashley Neumann to find the right fit for you. Days and times depend on class level.

Office Assistance Help with typing, filing, making copies for classes, emailing and making phone calls, any day of the week. We would like a volunteer to help two hours per week. Must be familiar with MS Office, computer data entry, and proficient in English composition. Contact Ashley Neumann to find the right fit for you. Days and times are flexible for your schedule.

Retreat Assistants Support our Faith Formation Catechists on Saturday or Sunday retreats scheduled periodically throughout the year by providing supervision, guiding activities, and participating in service projects. Contact Ashley Neumann for Elementary Formation, or Denelle Ryan for Middle and High School formation.

Child Care During Classes and Retreats Many parents have multiple children and need help with child care at the Church in order to stay focused during meetings. If you love playing with children, this might be ideal for you. Contact Ashley Neumann for more details.

Liturgy Ministry Serve during Mass as an altar server, Reader, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, or usher. Check our Ministry Guide for the contact person specific to your interest.

Media Communications Ministry Spread the word about Faith Formation and Parish events and activities, take photos to document the many things we do as a Parish, and keep online and social media info updated. Our coordinator for this ministry is Cynthia DeStefano Garrison who can help you find opportunities to fit your skill set, or develop a new one!
